Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. John 3:5 (NKJV)
During our Voice of Youth (VOY) meeting, a man asked, “Where was Jesus Christ during His youth and up to his twenty-nine years of age? What did he do?” I answered him that secret things belong to God (Deut. 29:29). But we find a clue in Luke 4:16—He was accustomed to attend Sabbath services at Nazareth synagogue. In the absence of fast transportation, Jesus must have stayed in His hometown and played with kids his age too. He read the writings of Isaiah. After his childhood years he became His father’s partner in making chairs, benches, and free coffins for the poor.
“Are you sure of what you’re saying?” The man insisted.
“Sir, accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, and when we go to heaven, we will ask him?” I suggested.
At the end of our VOY meetings, he was one of those who accepted Jesus through baptism. He resigned from his government job and joined us when we returned to AUP, as he took up AB Theology. We praise God for our new brother in faith.
