Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [a]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26 (NKJV)
On the fifth day, God created fish and all living things in the water, including hammerhead sharks that might be useful as Adam and Eve’s submarine vessel in viewing the beautiful underwater corrals.
A sudden potent sound combination was heard in the sky, for God created birds flying in the air, including the Philippine eagle gliding in the atmosphere while the chicken might be enjoying a free ride on his back.
On the sixth day, God said, “Let there be all kinds of animals. Like horses, cows, sheep, tigers, and giraffe together with a harmless lion. Many parents of old times name their sons Leon, including my uncle named Inocentes Leon, which means an innocent Lion. This shows that God’s creatures are harmless, no such thing as survival of the fittest at the beginning of creation. The earth is now alive with God’s creatures, but the product, still incomplete.
On that sixth day, God created Adam first, then Eve, to look after the world and enjoy it. The name Adam came from the Hebrew word, which means human. The Hebrew word Eve resembles the mother of all living creatures. (ABC Bibles p.23)
God saw the beauty and perfectness of His creation. He rested on the seventh day Sabbath as an example for us to remember and worship God who made the “heavens and the earth” for everything belongs to Him.
