For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2 (KJV)
After Adam and Eve choose to vote no to God by eating the forbidden fruit. Suddenly changes happen in the Garden. They see the falling leaf, a sign of the first decay, (PP p.36). The mild and uniform weather suddenly changes rapidly from southeast monsoon to northeast, from hot to cold weather condition.
Adam and Eve feel embarrassed and ashamed to see themselves naked. Before sin entered, they were clothed with a covering of light and glory. It’s like wearing a cloudy white robe, (PP p.17). But now that they have committed sin, the light and glory disappear. How can they face God, the angels, and the animals? They run under the trees and stitch fig leaves probably using abaca fiber as thread to cover themselves.
Probably it’s a shock for the giraffe while eating near the trees to see their masters Adam and Eve in their new leaf uniform. The animals start to grow wild. The Lion declareshimself as king of the forest. Adam and Eve quickly lose power over these animals.
Before this, God assured them that all the creatures were under their control as long as they trusted God. But now they distrust Him, the living creatures are in rebellion against their rule, (PP p.34).
The love and peace are gone. They begin to fear for their future” (PP p.31). No more happiness in the Garden of Eden; hide and seek is their immediate self-defense and only option.
Sometimes we think that freedom is doing anything we want, but God says true freedom comes from obeying God’s law.
